Which bottles to register for?????
That wall of bottles is OVERWHELMING!! Any thoughts on which bottles are best? I was considering either Dr. Brown's or Avent. I would like to breastfeed so I don't know if there is a better bottle to use if you're going to breastfeed and also offer a bottle. Any help is appreciated..........THANKS!!!!

Well, I didn't breastfeed. But I used the Dr. Brown's bottles and they were great!

Re: Which bottles to register for?????
I registered for a few Playtex drop-ins...less of a headache when it comes to cleaning and no BPA issues. Everyone told me not to go overboard registering for bottles because you won't know which one your baby will like better and you may end up trying a few different brands.

Re: Which bottles to register for?????
I EBF my DD- we're still going strong at 9 months. That said, I started with the Dr. Browns- which, honestly I wasn't that impressed with. They are a bltch to clean (i was also pumping and needing to clean pump parts as well- so I was SICK of washing stuff) and with the BPA concerns I switched to Playtex Drop-ins.
OMG- SOoOOOOoo glad I did. The Drop-ins are WAY easier and I didn't notice any increase in gas issues (Dr. Brown's touts itself as being "best for gas").
I also like that the Playtex nipples are most like a real breast, so no worries of nipple confusion and she transitioned between breast and bottle easily when I started working again.
Good luck to you!

I plan on BF and using Dr. Brown's even though I heard they're a pain to clean. Too many parts.

Re: Which bottles to register for?????
Ya know I am thinking that maybe I should start collecting coupons for various bottles and discounts and buy one of each. Too many choices.
My sister sent me an article on glass bottles and though they seem lke a great idea in theory, I know I'd be dropping them and get shards of glass in my feet on a daily basis. Im not terribly graceful.

Re: Which bottles to register for?????
I registered for the Dr. Brown's and the Playtex Drop Ins. I plan to breastfeed too but to give a bottle sometimes (or let DH have a chance to feed). I'm hoping the Dr. Brown's dishwasher basket will help with cleaning all those parts! Playtex has a starter kit which is what I registered for.

Re: Which bottles to register for?????
I am breastfeeding but have had to supplement formula as well for a few days. At 12 days old, my baby boy has no problem at all going between the breast and the Dr. Browns bottles. I bought the small glass ones and we have had no problem with ANYTHING. And, he is able to go back to the breast without any issues as well.

EBF= Exclusively Breast Fed BPA=Bisphenol-A
Goldi - I have the Evenflo glass, and my mom dropped one (accidentally) on my hard floor - it didn't break! I love these bottles, and so does Kristina!!!!!!
ETA: I registered and received both the Evenflo glass and the Gerber BPA free bottles, and haven't had an issue with either! I originally registered for the Born Free, but since so many other companies are coming out with BPA free bottles now, for such a lesser cost, I went with those.

Re: Which bottles to register for?????
I'm going to at least try glass bottles.... I trust glass much more than any plastic. I swear I can taste when drinks have been stored in plastic containers.... that can't be a good thing....
I hope they work for us.....

DS never had one bit of gas with Dr Browns. They aren't such a pain to clean. Just get that dishwasher basket thing.

Re: Which bottles to register for?????
I registered for the Evenflo glass bottles. DD didn't take to the nipple so I switched to Playtex Drop Ins....highly reccomend. However the liners can add up and make alot of garbage so I switched to Born Free Glass. Love them...I'm clumsy too and have dropped a on my wood floor...no cracks.

That's what I've been using since day 1 and I love them. They have the vent like Dr. Brown's so they work great on kids with gas but they're easier to clean and the fact that they're BPA-Free made them the way to go for us.
