RE - how soon?
Dh and I have been TTCing for three months now, and I'm not sure if this will come easily for us. A while back, dh was told that he had significantly low levels of testosterone in his body, and that it may negatively effect fertility. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, but it has been stable for 2 years or so now.
Dh is 34 and I'm 31, and no, we haven't been trying forever, but how long should we wait to go to a RE? I don't want to wait for too long as that window of opportunity begins to close.
What do you think?
TIA!

Re: RE - how soon?
"they" say to wait 6 months if you are over 30 but if you already know that you might have some IF issues, I would go with your gut. If you want to go before the 6 months, then I would definately recommend going.

Re: RE - how soon?
If you go to an RE for a consult, you'll have more information. The worst that could happen is that s/he will tell you to come back after more time.

Re: RE - how soon?
We waited almost a year. Initially, we thought all was well with DH. However, once we found out it wasn't, we took a "let's see what happens" approach. As we approached the year mark, DH realized we needed assistance and agreed to see a RE. I wanted to see one much sooner.
So my advice is, if you feel that something is wrong, see a RE. Let him/her work you and your DH up and go from there.
