need hair salon recommendations for CURLY hair!!
i have curly hair and have NEVER had a cut i loved that i could wear curly, i always had to blow it straight. i want to keep my curls - can someone PLEASE recommend a hairstylist that you know does a good job with (short- to - medium length) curly hair? thanks!!
ETA: nassau area preferred, i am in eastern nassau, so western suffolk is good too.
oh yeah - i have worked at nubest and i REFUSE to go there for a cut.

Karma in Merrick. I use Jen. I pay 40.00 for wash, cut and blow. I was also at my wits end i have thick, long curly hair and she does a GREAT job. I just started to go there after going to a lot of places. HTH PS She has curly hair so she knows what she is doing.

i use jen also! i have known her for years - her mother worked with my father. she is such a sweetheart!!

this is not nassau but I have a friend with very beautiful naturally curly hair she went to ouidad in the city...I believe they specialize in cutting curly hair and she got a great cut fom them..

Defusion-one of the girls there has curly hair and she uses this DevaDay stuff in it-makes ur hair awesome looking!!!
Or, you could just go to the Deva Day Salon in the city, they specialize in curly hair.
