a question from the ASSISTANT.. a little TMI..
So i walk into her office this morning and she's on the phone with her boyfriend looking miserable. She see's me walk in and goes, "X, Brooke just walked in, I'll call you back."
She looks at me with tears in her eyes and goes, "Brooke, the most horrible thing just happened?" So of course I'm concerned and ask her what happened...
Her words:
"I was just in the bathroom taking a CRAP (yes that's the word she used) and all this blood ended up in the toilet and on the toilet paper. X says I have cancer, and I looked it up and the internet says i have cancer too."
So at this point I'm still trying to get over the fact that she just told me she took a crap in the bathroom. Then I tell her to calm down, could be a small fissure or a hemmeroid, and if it continues to go to a dr, but chances are she doesn't have cancer."
This girl has parents, friends.. why does she need to talk to me about crapping in the bathroom that I have to use?

I can see your point, but it sounds like she just felt desperate at that point and wanted to talk to someone.

I'm sorry.....maybe I had way too much chocolate but her words to you just made crack up! There are "other" ways of putting this. Many things could ahve caused this, she should just call her Dr.

Aww. I know she's a bit loopy, but I can understand her fears.
I'd tell her to make an appt with her Dr to check things out and STAY OFF THE INTERNET in the meantime. The internet did not go to medical school!

Omg, it's nice that you were concerned and she feels comfortable talking to you about such things, but really she's taking medical advice from her boyfriend and confirming it with what's on the internet. Yea, bc everything you read online is the truth.

I'm sorry, but  Her friend (who I assume is not a doctor) thinks she has cancer because of that and the "internet says it too" I can understand how scary it can be, and how cancer might be a scary though, but to tell you she has cancer because of that is just a little overdramatic.

I'm glad she feels comfortable with me, and of course I am here to help her in any way that I can.. but watching and listening to the words "CRAP" come out of her mouth were a bit much. Honestly.. I can't remember the last time I heard someone say, "i just took a crap..."
Or maybe I'm very immature and expected her to say, "I just did number 2..."

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
It's the CRAP that threw me off. Now all day I keep thinking of Pee Wee Herman's playhouse and how they had a word of the day. Everytime I hear the word crap now I'm gonna scream..
