1st sono---did DH go?: update--changed appt
I am supposed to have my 1st sono tomorrow. DH is away hunting. I guess I never thought that he may want to go. Did your DH go w/ u?
Update:
Okay, just changed the appt to Friday so DH could be there!

DH was away for the first sono too. He was there for the ultrascreen (I'm glad because they told us the gender at this one) and he was there for the level II, but was away for the 32 week sono and will be away for the growth sono I have at the end of the week.
He was there for all the sonos with DD, but he's been traveling more for work this round so it just hadn't worked out that he could be there. We made sure he was there for the level II, but that's the best we could do.

Yes DH went with me to first Sono.
He couldn't go to Ultrascreen because he was working. He will be going to the Level II.

He has been at all sonos expect the one I had last week at 37 weeks, because he had work. The 1st sono is such an amazing bonding experience for the two of you, I wouldn't have wanted him to miss it.

for my very first apt...no. i thought they were just going to do some blood tests etc.
they did an internal at my first...but it was too early so nothing eventful.
dh has gone to the all the sonos since.

Eh-I have to say I think it depends on how sentimental the couple is.
DH was there for the first sono of DD but not for this one and I can't say that there was really a different bonding experience. Our bonding built up over the course of each pregnancy as we got closer, talked about names, etc.
If he is away, and you think he will get as much excitement out of the pictures then I wouldn't move it. If you are nervous or just want his hand to hold, then move the sono back a week or two until he comes home.

i agree. my DH thinks they are "cool" but he didn't bond with DS until he was born. and the first one is just to see the HB - i know my DH would rather be there when it actually looks like a baby 
as long as your DH is okay with missing it, i don't think it's a big deal!

DH has gone with me to pretty much all of my appointments except for maybe 2 when he couldn't because of work. DH really likes going and asks the doctor more questions than I do!
