I ended up going to the Hallmark store today and found some really nice trinket type items, perfect for bdays. There were so many to choose from, but I ended up with this..it looks so much prettier in person. It opens up, and there's a party hat molded inside. I'm going to write a poem on a very small piece of paper and tuck it in there and when she gets older, she can read it

I wanted to start a Madame Alexander doll collection for DD but i never got around to it. I figured I'll get her one for each birthday.

We're deadbeat parents- we just threw him a big party. 
that is not deadbeat that is just fine and all he needs. i will be putting money in DS 401 k for his b-day.
