16 week appt tonight...
So I have my 16 week appt tonight and they told us we would be able to find out the gender (if the baby cooperates...). For some reason, I'm just not as excited about it as I thought I would be - or as I hoped I would be. My lack of excitement is kind of getting to me...I don't know if it's because part of me doesn't want to find out yet, and would like to stay team green...Or, that because I have a history of a loss, I'm scared that by finding out the gender, the baby will really become more of a "person" and if God forbid something were to happen, it might make it that much harder. I don't know...I'm just rambling!
Either way, I am excited to see little Spud again - girl or boy!!!

I can't even imagine what you've been through, but I wanted to send you lots of hugs for tonight!!!!
Wishing you gender dust... once you see your LO, it will all change... you'll open your heart and your worries will be pushed to the back burner.  
Someone else said to me "it's a surprise if you find out now or when the baby arrives" -- this way, you'll get to plan more.

Goodluck at your appt!!! I hope you are able to find out if it's a  or  .
I know it's scary after having experienced a loss. I think finding out the sex will add some excitement for you.
I know I have often questioned myself through out this pregnancy...like "why am I not that excited" and why did I waited until now 24 wks to register. Unfortunately, I think after my 2 losses I still have a lot of anxiety about this pregnancy. The excitement comes and go, but I think it's natural after having a los. I know everything is ok with my LIttle Girl, but I just cant get rid of the anxiety.
It was almost as if I was afraid to register. I had to make an appt with a Sales Trainer at Buy Buy Baby to take me around and do it all with me yesterday...(Otherwise I think I would of kept pushing it off.)
I understand where you are coming from! Just know everything is ok and you are going to have a healthy pregnancy. Epecially once you have your anatomy scan that will also give you some reassurance.
If you ever need to chat feel free to FM. Everything will be ok with your LO!!! The anxiety is normal and you will have your days of excitement too!!!!
I cant wait for you to find out the sex!!!!

Well, it's partly because I am high risk, so that part isn't so lucky, but, I am happy I get to see our LO extra!!!!

Thanks so much Rachel - you made me feel like I'm not a complete idiot for feeling this way. It's really so hard to shake the anxiety...no matter how many dr's say that everything is okay, mentally, it's just hard to get through. But thank you so much for your sweet, kind words!!!
