DS, who is normally an amazing sleeper (8-8) has been having some sleep problems lately. At his 15 month check up on Monday, the ped said to stop giving him a bottle of milk right before bed b/c then the milk just sits on his teeth all night and will rot them eventually. So we started giving him his bottle around 7:15, brush his teeth and then into bed (that's the only bottle he gets - during the day is all sippy cups). He goes to sleep within minutes. But then about a half hour later he wakes up screaming and sobbing badly. Its so bad that the first night he did this we went running in thinking something was wrong. Instead, he just grabbed onto me and hung onto me for dear life and nestled his head into my neck. When I try to put him down he clings so badly. Eventually, he calms down and I put him back in, he cries for a minute and then goes to sleep for the night. Also, when he first wakes up and he's screaming and crying he's laying down. If you were just watching him on the video monitor with no sound and wasn't in the house to hear him, you wouldn't even know he was up. Has this happened to anyone? What is going on? How should I handle it? We did CIO with progressive waiting when he was little and have not had any issues since. But now this is starting and I'm lost as to what to do. Any advice at all is so appreciated!
