wow my MIL is something else... but even she would NEVER do this!
Honestly if she did- all ties with me and her grandchild would be cut... until a formal apology, vows to NEVER even think the thought of doing it again were made... and lots of Im sorry I s uck present were sent

every time I read these horror MIL stories, I am thankful for my MIL who is nothing even remotely close to these women you describe - I could not say enough good things about my IL's...  
sorry you have to deal with this nonsense! i can not even comprehend it.

Seriously I would very calmly ask her to please leave my home. I would then open the door and ask again for her to leave.
When she apologized and decided to respect me and my home then she could come back.
I would not allow that type of disrepect in my own home. The truth is I can't imagine my MIL every doing this, but Scott would never allow me to be treated like this.

When you stand up for yourself she will begin to respect you. A schoolyard bully never really wins the fights...once someone stands up for themselves, others have no choice but to respect them. It will be the best thing you ever did to tell her that you will NOT allow her to treat you like way she has been.
