i know yes it is.... but why do they need to take it down 2 weeks before? i thought the fence people take it down
maybe the fence people are taking it down, but they could only get them to do it now. I imagine that's a lot of work.

I think if it's their fence, they aren't really doing anything wrong. I don't blame you for being annoyed by it though. I would feel the same way. It is a major inconvenience.  I don't know if I would ask them to wait to take it down though. As someone else said, it probably just ended up getting scheduled that way. However, if you are close with them, maybe you feel comfortable talking to them about it.

I'd say I have to agree with this, and I probably wouldn't wait til the last minute to take down the fence either.
I know its inconvenient for a short time, but think of how convenient it is that they actually have a fence up in the first place. I bet it'll be nice when its done.

having just had our new fence installed recently, i can honestly say that taking down an existing fence, and all the preparation necessary for the new fence installation, is no easy task. i'm sure your neighbors just didn't want to wait until the last minute. two weeks will go by before you know it.

I'm sorry but I don't think you can expect them to do their home improvements only when it's convenient for you. I have to agree, if you're worried about your dogs then you should have your own fence up.

It stinks but at least they told you. Imagine letting your dogs out and seeing there was no fence? Look on the bright side you are getting a new fence.

No you absolutely shouldn't be mad, it's their fence! I'm impressed that they even took the time to tell you about it.
ETA: I had to come back in to this thread to ask, CAN YOU REALLY BE FREAKING SERIOUS? I am truly in disbelief that you feel the right to be mad over this. Actually, I find it quite nervy and ridiculous. Get your own damn fence to protect your dogs if it's such an issue for you. Imagine if they just decided to take their fence down!

me too, sounds like you have nice neighbors, I wouldnt say anything to them.
Walking on a leash really isnt that big of a deal, your just not used to it

OMG...I started reading this and people were agreeing about her being mad and couldn't believe it!!!
Thank God some people actually spoke their mind. I agree!!!
A - It's not that big a deal to take your dog out on a leash
B - If it's so important to have a fence, spend thousands on your own
C- You have ridiculously nice neighbors for coming over and telling you what they are doing, they don't have to say anything
Try taking your dogs for a walk around the block to get some exercise.

i would NEVER NEVER do that. It's there fence not ours..... i know that i judt didnt understand why they had to take it down more than 2 weeks ahead of time? these people have been awesome to us I would never say anything to them.
