my mom is always telling me how to put things in my house.. Feng Shui is part of our culture... like which way your bed should be positioned..
I want to get an aquarium, it is considered good luck to have one (of course, it depends on where you put it).

I did hear/read one thing that you should not have a mirror over your bed (on the headboard wall) and we had one, si Had my DH take it down.  He thought I was crazy!!

Positioning of items depends on the layout of the house and how items should be placed according to the cardinal signs and also they do like a computation for each person living there.
yup, this is correct... I think the aquarium should be some where close to your front door.

I heard that if toilet seats are kept up, money energy is flushed and the persons living in the house feel like they get the money and it gets spent right away.....
oh wow, I don't know about this, have to consult with the elders 
If that's the case, we'll be in the poor house soon, because FH always forget to put down the seat and I always fall into the toilet when I don't pay attention!

I don't practice it, but I will never put a bed with the footboard facing the door. They say you should sleep with your feet facing the door because they take dead people out of the room feet first.

Someone told me this. I always keep reminding my husband as well....somehow this is such a habit to leave the toilet seat up....
If I walk by, I'll put it down. Like I said, I've heard a few things and I just do it. It can never hurt...right?
Especially the things to increase prosperity.....do you know any that you can share?
I always close it whenever I see it, even if I don't need to go... just cuz my cat loves to play with the water and when you sit down you get a wet butt

I heard this as well and my toilet seat is always down...it was a great way to train DH 
I also try not to keep anything under my bed, but there is no room for DH's shoes in our closet (mine take up too much space, lol!)

I've heard about the toilet thing & money flowing out from my sister, along with something red in the NW? SW? corner of your house... the mirror thing in the bedroom too.
She had me run around trying to get a picture of 2 swans since they mate for life...

My DH and his ex-wife had a double swan statue on his dresser while they were married.
She was very into the practice but I think her lunatic behavior and cheating over-rid any Feng Shui she tried

I would love to see something on Feng Shui in Manhattan apartments. I would love to follow it all- but my apartment is a wierd shape and its just not possible. Maybe one day when I have a nice big house....

We have a few Feng Shui books I glanced through and found we were already practicing sime things and didn't even know it We have salt water aquariums in our home, always keep toilet seats down, have a few house plants including Lucky Chinese Bamboo, we like to keep things tidy and in order, we go through things often to get rid of things when old, worn out, not in use, etc and a few other things I can't think of at the moment. I would like to read more about it and practice it

Another thing that I've heard is about your office....your back should not facing the door.....it says it brings backstabbing and if you can't help it, you should put a mirror on your desk.....
Anybody else?
I heard that also, but i have no choice. My desk is bolted to the wall!!
