Honest Opinions please UPDATED: with more questions
DH and I were thinking of renting a house in the north fork region for my 30th birthday weekend in November. We were looking to rent a big house so we could invite everyone to stay over. During the day we could go wine tasting and pumpkin picking, and at night hang out with food and drinks. Now please be honest. Do you think this is a good idea? Would you go if a friend invited you? Thanks!!
ETP - If there were a certain number of rooms, should I do a first come, first serve? What about children, yay or nay?
ps - We would be paying for the house, so it would be free to stay.

That was my only complaint too. I told DH that our friends would probably complain about the drive out or say that the whole idea was corny or something.

I like the idea...just make sure that places are open. My mom stays at a great B&B on the north fork, but they (and alot of them and other local small businesses) close in late september.

Let me know. I have a listing of north fork houses that rent for the weekend. Very cheap too!!
ETP - So far I've seen price range from $400-$700 for the weekend depending on how many bedrooms and if it is situated near the water.
