I have known my 2 best friends since JR high and I tell them I love them in e-mails and cards. We usually dont say it to eachother face to face unless something has happaned where we need to hear it. But, I am love my best friends and am very lucky to have them in my life.

out of all of my friends, I only say I love you to my best friend who I have been friends with since the 2nd grade! We say it when we get off the phone and we leave each other after we get together.

Not every time we hang up the phone... but often.... ALWAYS in time of need or crisis, and we ALWAYS sign our cards, letters, and emails that way!

I used to feel uncomfortable about doing this to anyone other than family - in the past year or so I have started telling people that mean the world to me that I love them

ok I noticed this this weekend- when I was down and actually talking to my friends on the phone which is rare
we said "love you" when we got off the phone

Only a few, my college friends (Jean, Tiff, Sarah and Heidi Lee) and I used to tell my bestfriend, but we are no longer friends 
I just talked to my friend Sarah tonight and we always say at the end of our conversation, I love you.

I'm super cheesy and tell most of my friends that I love them. They don't all say it back, although my really close friends usually do  I'm not offended when they don't because I know some of them are not as open about their feelings as I am.
