can u eat eggplant while in the 1st trimester? I read somewhere you shouldnt but wasnt sure if that was true, thanks!

I don't think you have to stay away from it.
Off topic, but on. Recently I mentioned to my mom how hot baths were a no no and she asked me if I had all of my fingers and toes and everything because she took hot baths when she was pregnant with me.
Just a little note about how sometimes pregnancy books and websites can be the worst enemy

Its an old wives tale that eggplant can bring on labor. I guess that's why there's concern.
Honestly I have no idea whether or not you should it eat.

Someone on here mentioned a while back that eggplant could cause m/c - or she read it ont the internet or something... it got me a little nervous, but one day I was craving an eggplant sandwich, and figured its a vegetable - what could it possibly do?

That was me---I did see it somewhere on the internet, but that doesn't mean that it is necessarily true. It just happened to occur the same time I had cramping and scary dreams, so I personally decided to give up eggplant for the next few months, but I'm probably just being silly!
