just curious to see how many people after 36 weeks are still working. Iam 38 and just this week I am starting to feel like I cant do it anymore. I need motivation. I could go to sleep at my desk right now.

Re: Working

I was planning on working all the way up to my due date, but I did go into labor when I was just a few days shy of 37 weeks.

I am panning on attempting to work all the way to the end this time around as well. We shall see what happens!Chat Icon

Re: Working

I'm in my 39th week and I'm still here!!!! BUT this is my last week in the office baby or no baby. I'm going to work from home until she comes starting next week!!!

An older woman was walking down the hall yesterday (towards me) and she's usually very friendly and chatty, but for some reason she put her hand over her eyes and looked down. So I asked her if she was ok, what's wrong? She said I can't look at you anymore - I feel so bad for you. I just laughed and told her I'm fine, not to worry!

That's when you know it's time to stop working!!!

Re: Working

I'm almost 33 and wish I didn't have to still work but I have too much to do. I don't want to leave my kids high and dry until Jan. 8 when my replacement comes in.
I was trying to stay until Christmas break(38 wks) but I will probably go out on Dec.15 at 37 weeks.

Re: Working

I will be leaving much earlier due to multiples.

I'll be lucky if I can make it until week 30 but that is the absolute maximum that the doctor will let me work. Trust me, if he pulls me earlier, with everything going on in my district, I will not be upset.

They are trying to find a replacement for me now and are seriously considering hiring two separate people to cover the courses I teach. One of the guys couldn't teach class on underwater basket weaving never mind the college course.

What does that tell you? Ummmm.... yeah, maybe they should appreciate me more and I easily do the work of two people.

Re: Working

I am working straight up until I am in labor. Not really projecting to leave early. I am taking off days here and there to split up my week though.
