recommendations please
In the Bellmore and merrick area
not super $$ but a nice place for a dinner with friends, mixed group, open to most foods just not spicey.
This is for a Monday night after work, prefer no chain restaurants

I'm in a dining FB group and a lot of people rave about Off the Brook in Merrick. It looks cute for a night out with friends.
Matteos in Bellmore is also good, but a bit pricey

recommendations please
I liked Sufiya Grill on Merrick Rd and Blackbird, which might technically be Wantagh but it’s not far. There’s also Piccolo in Bellmore and Margaritas in Merrick that were never amazing, but always solidly good and inexpensive. We used to go to Komo on Bedford Ave a lot, too. And Dirty Taco, which is definitely Wantagh but so good.

We recently went to Off The Brook. Table was a little cramped but the food was delicious and fresh and the service was excellent.
