But overall, the event was peaceful. Capitol Police said about 400 to 500 people were in the protest area, including journalists.

I’m not disappointed - I’m relieved that it didn’t turn into something more.
I fully support groups that want to peacefully protest (unless it’s a hate group like the KKK).

I haven’t been paying much attention to the news so I didn’t even know there was going to be a protest but I agree. Why is anyone defending what happened on January 6th. It was wrong what happened. I don’t care who you support what happened that day was not ok!!

I can't speak for others, but I was expecting something big but hoping it wasn't b/c I don't want to see anyone else get physically hurt in all of this. I didn't want to sit back gleefully while chaos happened so I could have one more thing to blame on Trump. All of this stuff has gone beyond him - it's stuff that's out of his control now. They've become emboldened to think that they can get away with violence like the insurrection. But I'm hoping that the further we get from Trump's presidency, that it will take the wind out of their sails.
