Central air question installation
Those of you who put central air in your home . the air intake was it your responsibility to frame it out after the company left? Basically I had an attic fan and the company decided that I didn't need the attic fan anymore and they used that hole instead of cutting a new one and put in the air intake which is smaller than this unit and now I have gaps and it doesn't meet up with the sheetrock and they tell me it's my responsibility

Tough one... I would think your responsibility.... what does your contract say about work completion etc

You need to look at your contract to see what was included. I don't know why they would take out the attic fan though. We use ours all the time so we don't need to keep the central air on constantly.

Re: Central air question installation
I would not have let them do that. You should have CAC and an attic fan. The attic fan helps cool your attic and lets your CAC work more efficiently. We purchased a house with CAC but no attic fan. The attic was so hot I was afraid to store anything in it, and the room where the entrance to the attic is was always significantly warmer than the rest of the house. We added an attic fan and are much happier overall.
