Did your car insurance rates go up?
I just got my renewal bill and it went up quite a bit. I called to see if there was anything I could do. I was told all the rates went up. I am thinking of calling around. I am with Allstate.

We just got a new car (a lease), in February, so my premium obviously went up. But, Geico gave us, by far, the best deal. We are paying $231 a month (not including DH's car), Allstate quoted me $450!!

mine went down a tiny bit, the insurance co sent me a check. Geico always had better rates

I pay 550 every 6 months. I’ve been with Geico for years and the only time my rate changes is when I get a new lease every 3 years.

I have Geico for at least 10 years, no tickets or accidents, and mine goes up every 6 months it seems. Just a few bucks, but it's annoying!

Mine didn't , but when I had Geico it went up every 6 months.That's why I got rid of them years ago.

Mine never does to be honest. I even got in an accident a few years ago that was my fault and I was SHOCKED that it did not go up even then.
(it was my first accident so maybe they had accident forgiveness, who knows)

Did your car insurance rates go up?
Mine went up in February bc of increase of medical insurance, that’s what I was told. I got it lowered with having a BJ’s membership (a few dollars) but also changed the distance driven on one car. You can also have them run your credit for an additional discount (already had this).

Mine consistently goes up every 6 months. I call and they give me some bs about standard rate increases. And no accidents, no tickets, good credit, etc.
I end up having to switch carriers every year or two to get back to the lower rate....until the new company starts raising rates again. It's a pain in the butt. There is no customer loyalty anywhere anymore IMO.

Yes but by a small amount I think 5 o $10 a month and I was also told it was NYS that higher some rate

Yes! I’m with Allstate too. It’s a pretty big hike. Enough that I questioned it, got no clear answer. Clean driving record, no accidents. Think I need to shop around.

I dont know. This is what the woman at the branch told me. We have homeowners with them too. Not sure how that works if I leave and have separate companies

I am under the credit discount. How do you change distance used on car? One car is not used very much.

This is exactly me. It was quite a bit of increase and I was told everyones went up. Well, apparently not.

We have one car that gets driven less than 8k a year, they had me at 10K. Geico took my word but you may have to show proof, such as the inspection receipt.

Yes! I have State Farm and it keeps going up. We have no accidents, etc. but they claim i drive more than they insure me for every time. That and the all rates went up schpiel
