When to send invitations?
We're having a Halloween first birthday party for my DS. Date is 10/28. I feel like people usually do a lot of Fall festivals and Halloween parties around that time. Whoever comes, comes I don't care. But want to give enough notice. When would you drop them in the mail? Mid September?

I think 6 weeks out if you want to be early is perfect

I was just going to ask the same. We're doing a fall-themed first birthday for my DD on Oct. 14th and I was thinking of maybe sending the invitations out the first week of September.

When to send invitations?
MY TWin boys birthday is 10/28 they will be 6. I have learned from experience not to have that weekend as MANY have not been able to come & also many seem to be sick during that time. Its crazy. I do my boys parties first week of Oct.

Sounds fun! I remember a few of us were on the November due date thread together, I can't believe we are they are turning one already!
We are doing a pumpkin/fall theme first birthday party for my DD on Columbus Day weekend. I am ordering invites now, will send out the first week of September. So I think middle of September is good for your invites.

I'm having ds's first birthday 10/7 even though his bday is 10/28. I mailed out the invites this past Monday.

I totally get that! There are so many fall festivals and Halloween parties happening. But in all honesty, that is one of the reasons we picked this date. Our guest list is so big and we want to keep it small lol. But going forward, once he's older I'm thinking mid October or the weekend post Halloween is probably better.
