When is the right time to send out Bday Invitations?
When is a proper time to send out a birthday invitation?
Im going to have the boys birthday on July 10th. Should I send the invitations 3 weeks or 4 weeks before or more?

For a summer party I would do at least 4 or 5 weeks. Lots of events happen in the summer, so you want to give guests time to plan.

ITA. My girls' b-days are late-June and the party is usually graduation weekend...I will hopefully be sending their invite out next week.

Glad you posted this. I was wondering when I should send mine. DS birthday is at the end of June. Right around prom and graduations. I better decided on a place already and get these out next week.

Normally 4 weeks. 5 for a busy season. Not too much earlier, though, because people will forget about it. BTDT on both ends of the party. Forgot about invites that were too early, and people I've invited really early started to forget about them. Not everyone puts it in their calendar the minute they get them.....

I would do it ASAP...I just got invited to THREE parties on one day (june 26th)! A graduation, a 1st bday, and a christening..my DH and I have no idea which one to pick!
My may and june are quickly booking up!

Since it is right after the July 4th weekend I'd send them about earlier than later. Besides, the summer is a busy time for people with vacations and such.

Also, keep in mind that no matter how early you send them out, you won't start getting a significant number of responses until about 2 weeks before the party. For obvious reasons, people wait until close to the RSVP date to see if family events are going to pop up and supersede a friend's b-day party.
Every year, I've had a couple of people tell me that they were waiting to see if a family member was having their DC's party on the same day, or when a family member was having a communion or confirmation, since that would take priority over my DS's party.
