Should I buy lunch?
In the next couple of weeks, I have people coming to the house to do painting, change furnace, do deck work etc. I don't mind buying them lunch but the only options I have are either order pizza or Chinese. Is lunch expected?

I don't think lunch is necessary. I'd offer water, soda, coffee, etc

Should I buy lunch?
I only offer lunch if it's a full day job and I only do pizza (I want to keep prices down, everyone loves pizza and it's easy to eat on the go). I do supply drinks, usually water or soda (I find they come with coffee in the morning). I found some people want to go out and have a change of scenery but I still offer lunch and I don't give them money to buy.

You are certainly not expected to buy lunch.
But water or drinks I think is a must to offer. Even the 12 or 24 pack of the variety chips is also a nice gesture.

I do not think lunch is necessary. We had ductless AC installed last year and I offered the workers drinks (water, soda, seltzer) and they turned me down because they had brought their own. They also went out and got their lunch - I think they liked getting away from the "work site" for 30 minutes.

Since they won't take a drink I wouldn't offer them lunch.
