Has anyone ever hired a professional organizer?
My closets have become complete disasters. Between all the back and forth with maternity clothes v. regular clothes, I don't even know what is where. It is really hard for me to find the time to reorganize with my brood of children constantly up my behind. I would love to know if anyone has used this type of service, how much it cost and if it was worth it.

I've been thinking of doing the same. On the days I am home, I use my sons nap time for other things like catching up on laundry or whatever - and in the meantime my closets are complete disasters... i've googled it but only come up with companies that do actual closet renovations, like custom closets. Don't need that

I think no matter what, you'll have to put some time into it though - its going to require you going through all your various clothes and putting them into piles of keep, give away, trash etc. You can have transition clothes, nice clothes, occasion clothes, weekend clothes etc and figure out how much of each you need.. what pieces you're holding onto for sentimental reasons and just need to get rid of and all that stuff.
An organizer can help you figure out better ways to store and display things, boxes, storage, jewelry etc But they're not going to come in and do it without input from you on each piece of clothing.
I would think you and a friend could do it over the course of an afternoon? make it fun.. have some wine

Yes I was going to say something similar- they can give you ideas and tips on how to store things, how to determine what to get rid of vs keep, how to keep it neat long term (my major issue!) but at the end of the day you are going to have to invest the time to actually do it- even if it's with that person. And the time needed is the issue I think
