What to take to housewarming party
Our good friend recently moved back to our neighborhood and his having a housewarming party this weekend. He is a recent widower with two girls.
I have absolutely no idea what to take to his housewarming party. I don't know what he kept, what he threw out when he moved back.
Willing to spend $100-500. Ideas?

I have one next week too. I was thinking a set of nice outdoor lanterns with flameless candles.

Gift card or maybe a new neutral color towel set (because who doesn't love fresh new towels). I wouldn't do decor or homeware. Assuming they have all that. Or something for the girls, guess it depends how old they are but was thinking something for their room (new bed spreads or jewelry box or toy chest, memory board, etc.) You could also do gift cards to local takeout joints, feel like everyone likes that. Put them in a basket with the menu, paper goods or "good" plasticware.

Gift card
I know people say wine or booze. And I really appreciated gifts. Was so thoughtful
But my husband and I don't drink wine and booze rarely
We got like 10 bottles of wine and a few more of booze lol

A giftcard for the places mentioned above would be great.
If you want to add something more personal to it, what about one of those binders for takeout menus? Or a nice houseplant? Or something for each of his children to have in their rooms?

Re: What to take to housewarming party
i've always liked the idea of a welcome basket... especially if the person in new to the neighborhood.
a collection of local restaurant menus, maybe a gift card to a few of them... even if they have a full set of kitchen supplies, maybe add some disposable plates and such so there is less to clean up/wash.
gift cards to target, walmart, bbb, home depot, lowes, etc are great.
