What to take to DS's friends housewarming party/play date?
We got invited to a housewarming play date. 5 families from DS's school are friends and hang out pretty regularly. One of the families are recently separated and has been MIA for the past half year. Mom finally reached out and invited us over to her new home for a housewarming. I am pretty sure it is just the 5 families from school.
What should I take?
I wasn't sure if I should treat it like a normal play date showing us their new home or bring a housewarming gift.

I would bring a treat for the kids, and a small gift (a candle, Christmas ornament, kitchen towels...).

Small treat for the kids and a bottle of wine for the mom.
I recently received a bottle of nice red wine and wrapped around it was a pretty dish towel, with a pretty bow holding it together. I loved the presentation and it wasn't expensive.
