getting back lent items
When I borrow anything from someone, I make sure to return it as soon as possible.
I don't get how others don't do this.
A bunch of the moms from my dc's class went to dinner & one borrowed my cardigan. This was almost 3 weeks ago. Now I have to ask for my sweater back & it's just so awkward for me.

Very annoying ! I just say " I need back my sweater bc I need it for such such event", a deadline seems to work to get it back right away.
Also-when I read the topic I though it was going to be about " Lent" items, like the weeks leading up to Easter and I was curious what your Lent items were and why someone else had them lol

Ahaha same thoughts on the Lent items. OP you'll unfortunately have to ask for it back if you ever want to see it again.

I know I have to ask for it back but I just hate that I have to. This is why I hated sharing as a kid.

I hate having to hound people to get things returned. There are actually two people in my life I won't lend to anymore.

It's also possible that she forgot she had it. Do you see this person all the time? If so, I would just tell her you have somewhere to go and need it.

Life is too short, pick up the phone and call. Say, you might have forgotten since its been a few weeks but you would like the sweater she borrowed a few weeks ago back.
I also thought it was about "lent" lol

Haha I totally thought this post was about Lent too!
I would just send a quick text and say something like, "Do you have that sweater handy? I can swing by to pick it up if you're around later" or "Would you mind bringing it tomorrow? I was planning to wear it out this weekend."
