Any damage from the storm?
Did anyone get any damage from the storm last night? The winds sounded really bad, but I'm in sort of a valley, so the winds go over the top of my house, and never really get down to ground level, so we didn't have any damage. Some of the neighbor's garbage cans were knocked over, but that was it.
I didn't see any flooding or branches down on the way to work, either.

I'm in the middle of the island so never a flooding issue- I just saw that 2 of my patio chairs blew over. That's about it- thankfully

Any damage from the storm?
I'm in Brooklyn, but there were a lot of branches down on my walk to the subway (no huge branches, but a bunch of medium sized)

Re: Any damage from the storm?
Thankfully No.
However, there was a huge tree a few houses away that fell; basically being held up by the Power Lines; just rocking back and forth on them. So the cops came and barricaded the small section of the road last night for obvious safety reasons.
Well this morning; some moron moved the barricades so they didn't have to be inconvenienced in turning around.
Just boggles my mind.

No damage by us. Just some branches in the streets - nothing big though

Any damage from the storm?
We get lots of wind bc we back up to a lake. One post of our metal arbor is leaning quite a bit but hopefully it can be fixed.

I live upstate and we got a lot of sleet - I'd prefer snow - at least my 2 year old can enjoy it then!

Re: Any damage from the storm?
We had a lot of larger branches fall. They are about eight feet in length and between three to six inches in diameter. The trees in my backyard are old growth trees that are over forty feet tall.

Any damage from the storm?
I generally don;t get much damage but we received a pic of the house we sometimes rent out in Greenport and it is basically sitting in a lake. not sure if it got high enough to get inside

Re: Any damage from the storm?
The LIRR parking lot I use in Oceanside was half flooded and the street to access it was pretty badly flooded. I drive a big SUV so I was fine but the lot was more than half empty at a time it would usually be almost full because people couldn't get in.
