Spinoff: damage to car from Monday's storm

Has anybody's car been deemed a total loss from the damage that occurred from the hail storm on Monday?

my DH was lucky and his was not but plenty of his co-workers were. THey had broken glass, body damage and electrical damage.

My IL's car was less than $1000 away from being totaled.

thankfully no, but we do have $6500 in damage to our 2 month old car.

I have a lot of damage to my 4 week old car!! I have about 80 dents in my car, the trunk and hood have to be replaced entirely, broken molding and a smashed sunroof. Originally they said it was between $3-4k worth of damage but apparently that wasn't including the sunroof. We'll see what the final bill is.

BUT I feel lucky after hearing two women talking at the gym today. One had ALL of her windows, both windshields smashed and car was totaled! She also had her skylights smashed at home and has water damage everywhere and a lot of her electronics were destroyed, too.
