Must be nice to be a boss..
My boss emails me last Monday that he won’t be in all week but will be working from home.
I send a few emails Tuesday, Wednesday etc.. No response. Thursday I email him that I need my time sheet approved. OK. It get’s done.
While I know he is on the computer I send over a few things to be approved. No response.
Friday, I had to go to the doctor so I email that I will be in late. No response.
Monday, yesterday, I send a follow-up email can he please approve the documents from Thursday because another co-worker is waiting on them. No response.
Curious to see what happens today.
Oh and P.S. he is not too busy to be posting all over FB. Maybe I should try posting to his wall.
Must be nice to be a boss..

Re: Must be nice to be a boss..
My boss does this a lot. When he "works" from his "home office" it involves driving all over town, doing errands, meeting people for 3 hour lunches, going to the doctor, Christmas shopping, etc.
When I work from home it involves getting online at like 730 am since I don't have to commute, not stopping for lunch, and working until 7 pm.

Exactly! When I work from home, I am afraid to pee in fear they will email me and I won't respond quick enough and they will think I am slacking lol

I'm not a boss.. just a peon but *THIS* is why I friend NO ONE I work with.
NO ONE
What I do or not do with my personal time is my personal business.
I hear at the office "Oh I saw you post your vacation photos, so nice" or "I saw you got sick this weekend" and "saw that hail damage your house had/flat tire" blah blah
Me? Nope. If you want to know what's up with me, I'll tell you. My facebook is locked down and NO ONE I work with is allowed on it. Present or past. Invites drama.
One of my coworker posts selfies every damn day and in the office no less. Complains about the office and yet my boss is her 'friend'. How stupid is that?

My boss didn't want to be "bothered" when he took off but it was fine to bother me constantly on my days off (not even working from home). So glad that job is over.

This is exactly why a certain person at a previous job was laid off! She used to call out sick, but then post crap on facebook showing her out and about. When layoffs came around and each department had to give people up, that was the reason her supervisor gave her name up.

People do not get it. I am not friends with co-workers on FB but others are so I hear what everyone is doing rather than work. I have not hired people because of their FB activity and I have a staff member on warning about it.

We fired someone who had very poor attendance and was often tardy. She was friends with someone from work and we found out she was out and about via facebook when she was playing hooky from work. We fired her for performance but the performance was poor because she would call out sick from work. She was an awful employee.

Re: Must be nice to be a boss..
That is so annoying. I have a boss like that.
He just shows up whenever he wants to the office which is most likely after 12 or 1pm barely gets the work that only he can do done and then decides to text me at random times on the weekends when he finally decides to get work done.
I've learned not to answer him on off hours unless there is an absolute emergency or I will get stuck doing more work than him!
