Atlantic City?
Anyone been recently? Worth it? Good place to stay?
I want to get away for my birthday. We live in CT and would need to drop the kids off at my moms on LI. So looking for somewhere easy to go from there, that's not coming back North into CT lol. I would much rather go to fox woods or Mohegan but again it's just not feasible.
I will also take any other suggestions of where to go from LI. Looking first weekend in Feb

I was thinking the Borgata, thanks
We can't really fly anywhere. It's literally a friday late night getting there and back to LI early Sunday morning, to get back to CT Sunday afternoon

We always stay at the Borgata, hit the Longbar for drinks and Izakaya (Japanese pub style) for dinner. There's also the Old Homestead (steak) I'm not a Bobby Flay fan. It's easy to grab a cab if you want to go to the Boardwalk.
eat : I also like the spa at the Borgata for massages. The one at the Water Club is so relaxing.

Re: Atlantic City?
I vote Tropicana. We always walk the boardwalk during the day.
At night we hit happy hour downstairs. Then go to dinner. Then my husband will gamble a bit and I hit the shops in my post drinking/eating coma.
We always stop on the way home in Smithville.
You can get a room for super cheap in the winter and it is a quick night away.

Re: Atlantic City?
I have stayed at the Borgata since it opened which happen to be the year of my 21st birthday and I have gone almost every year since then.
I missed last year but I love it there and never leave to go anywhere else.
I would suggest things to do there but really I only go to the spa sometimes and the rest of my time I spend gambling. I always just order room service to eat.

Atlantic City?
We just stayed at the Borgota on Saturday. We literally drove in the blizzard to attend a birthday party. We had a great time and were surprised by how packed it was. We also went to Harrah's for their steakhouse but the crowd was not what we were into. Oh and the Borgota gave us a free upgrade! Go, you will have a good time-enjoy!
