Ear clogged after a cold?
Anyone ever have this? Any tips to get rid of it?

Take a decongestant like Sudafed.
Also yawning a lot can help break it up.

Ugh I took Sudafed two times and no help! The cold is pretty much gone but this has been lingering for days!

Ugh I had this issue for almost two weeks recently.
I felt a little better when I used a saline nasal spray. I would also pop my ears, when I really couldn't take it, with the Valsalva maneuver.
I would Google how to do it; I don't want to explain it incorrectly.
It apparently CAN be harmful, but I was careful and needed relief.
The only thing that fully cured it was time though, unfortunately. Fortunately, it did go away. After a week, I was feeling that it never would.

This happened to me last year when I was pregnant, so I couldn't take anything. Now this will be gross I'm sorry lol, but it worked. I would take a long hot shower and then immediately blow my nose, as well as hold my nose and push air out. It took a few times, but eventually worked.

I just recently had this. I thought it was because I was away and the plane made it worse but I know two people that had this recently so it is somehow going around I guess. I went to an ENT and was told to take a decongestant and if it didn't clear, to go on steroids. I didn't need the steroids. I had it for a couple of weeks but its pretty much gone.

This is so crazy because - yes I think it's part of some cold virus going around! My son had this the week before me (but his clogged ear only lasted a few days) and his teacher just told me she and her sister are suffering with same issue!
I was going to call the ENT today because now it's been exactly a week! It's definitely better but still clogged! Don't know what to do! Thank you for all the tips! Nothing seems to be working!

I was clogged form end of September through Thanksgiving - it was AWFUL!!! NOTHING I did helped or relieved any pressure - it eventually resolved itself on its own. 2 of my co-workers are complaining of the same thing now - some crazy virus!!

That happened to me last year! Took decongestant and used a wax removing kit. It was gross but worked. LOL.

I have been so sick for the past six days. I went through five full boxes of tissues. My ear finally popped. It was so loud my husband heard it. I screamed and it caused temporary vertigo when my ear popped.

I had the same thing happen to me last year. I was very congested for days and my ear was clogged and it was making me crazy. I was so off balance from it. I went to the doctor, Ent who gave me steroids. It took over 2 weeks but finally it popped and it was loud and painful but than it was instant relief.
