Re: Trump...I can't with him

The whole "if you like your plan you can keep it" line has been trotted out all over the place, as if it's the worst he could do. Not saying it was a good thing especially for the people affected.
BUT
We're going to end up paying for the wall. We're watching him bait an unstable dictator with nukes on Twitter. We've seen him disparage the work of intelligence officers, who risk their lives to do their jobs. We're going to end up in another arms race, which many people worked hard to resolve- and it may not have a good outcome this time.
And there are people who voted for him- especially coal miners who had special coverage under Obamacare- who are now seeing what their vote will cost them, and they aren't happy.
Regarding Obama's promise - perhaps you are right but the point is that it was a blatant lie and he knew it at the time that he said it.
Honestly, I don't think there's going to be a wall.
I also do not believe that Obamacare is just going to be "repealed" with one swipe of a pen. They will need to keep parts of it and replace other parts of it. There are a few good things about it but mostly it is very flawed. It's a shame really because the law could have been great had it been thought through instead of rushed through and full of pork.
The intelligence agencies and how they said Russians hacked emails....the thing I can't resolve in my own head is, how are they so sure of this now, and if they are, how didn't they see this happening before it happened? Isn't that their job? Also, I still don't understand how Russia "rigged the election." They may have hacked emails but they didn't fabricate the emails. So.... people are mad that the public was actually made aware of the truth?
I don't have anything to say about an arms race, yes it concerns me but if something happens I don't think it will be 100% because of a tweet that Trump made.
It would be nice if Trump could be less "reactive" with what he says and when he says it but I am hoping that in time he will somewhat temper this behavior.

Re: Russian swaying the election in Trumps favor - we will eventually find out that there are financial ties between Trumps wealth and Putin.

Pumping billions of tax dollars in a 700 mile border "barrier" that won't even achieve appreciable gains in the influx of illegal immigration, an operation that has become much more sophisticated that a f-ing wall, for God's sake, while we justify throwing 20 million people off their healthcare under the guise of fiscal conservatism
I cannot believe there are people still defending this jackass.

This.
Anyone who still defends this orange twit should know you are being conned and used. Getting rid of the ACA=tax break for the rich. Building "the wall"=you pay. Good luck with that.

I have to say, as I've said before all my trump lovers haven't said shit about him since he was elected. Not one single comment about his flip flopping, not one single sentence. i can only assume they may ne slightly mortified that their "savior" has completely turned his back on his deplorables, and everyone else.
To be perfectly honest I don't think they care.
Or are just happy that someone else besides HRC is in office...
Every trump supporter I know is pretty content right now but over the arguing and ready to move on. I know many. My experience is that DJT supporters are not keeping quiet because they are ashamed or regretful.
Ding ding ding! (To the last 2 comments above). I mean, what do people want Trump supporters to say exactly? Maybe there are "crickets" because people generally don't talk about certain issues unless they disagree. I'm not about to go posting every day "Yay, so happy about Trump" but that doesn't mean I'm regretful or ashamed.
Let me be clear, I do not think Trump is a prize and he is certainly not my "savior" by any means. Would I have preferred Kasich or someone like that, sure. But the choices we were given were HRC and Trump. I don't think anyone is going to agree with every single thing that a President does and says. For example, are all Obama supporters happy right now about his treatment of Israel?
As for Trump's supposed broken campaign promises, all I have to say is: "If you like your plan, you can keep it. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. No one will take that away. Period." Sound familiar? Every politician in history has broken campaign promises. I am realistic - I never thought he was going to put Hillary in jail, but it was enough for me that he acknowledged that's where she should be.
Furthermore, I am not sure why there is such outrage about this anyway - during his campaign everyone was horrified by everything Trump wanted to do. Now that he isn't going to do them, instead of being relieved, everyone is just as horrified.
Again, I will admit he is far from perfect - no crickets on that point - but if HRC had been elected there could be entire threads about things she is doing that people don't like too.
Winner Winner chicken dinner.
We are quiet because we just don't feel the need to bicker any longer. It's certainly not out of regret or shame.
I should have been more clear that I am an HRC supporter and think it's a disgrace that Trump is the president elect, but I know way too many people that couldn't care less who was elected as long as it wasn't HRC and that was my point.
