Do you put on your child's coat when you go into the grocery store?

I'm wondering if I'm the odd mom out.

If you go to the grocery store, do you:

A. take your child out of the car seat and just run into the store without them wearing a coat? Maybe carry it in with you if it's a cold day

OR

B. put a coat on them and then run into the store?

My DS is 2.5 and I usually carry him in the parking lot if that makes a difference.

Sure, I put it on. Sometimes the store is just as cold as outside even.

My girls are 2 and 4. They're usually in a fleece in the car so I just leave them in that. When it gets to be really cold I'll probably slip their outer shell over and leave it unzipped (especially bc with two kids there's no running in as fast as when you're just carrying one). When I just had one kid and could run with her I never brought her heavy coat anywhere.

On a day like today no,they just have a zip up they can wear in the car

When it's super cold. Yes I would put it on

I put it on, because IMO, the grocery stores are all freezing! So more for the actual store than the 30-second dash from car to store!

I leave DD in her fleece/hoodie/whatever. If its really cold (below freezing) I drape the coat over her while outside. She's a nightmare to get a coat on and I'd end up spending more time bundling her than in the store.

It depends where I am and how long I'll be there. The other day I was in and out of the car like 4 times with 2 kids. I kept putting them in the stroller and tucking their jackets around them. Then I made one last stop at an outlet store. Literally parked right in front. Was in and out in 15 mins and I couldn't be bothered with the jackets... of course the older lady that worked in the store had to make her comment about them possibly being cold! I wanted to punch her.

Thanks everyone! Guess I'm the odd mom out. lol! My DS is not cooperative at all when I put on his coat. We'd both be standing inthe freezing cold for like 5+ minutes. He's usually in a sweater/hoodie and we just run into the store.
