How do you store your child's books?
I just received a ton of board books for my DD from a friend and I'm trying to find a great bookcase to hold them all. What do you have to store your books in and do you find it functional?
Thanks!

I got something from one step ahead. It has 4 rows to stick books in and 2 canvass storage bins underneath that i keep the tiny books in. It was maybe $80-100. I love it.

I use Closetmaid cube organizers, but when we get a playroom, I want to make book racks using the ikea spice racks. It looks too cute!

Do you have this one? I'm wondering if the books will just come tumbling out if a child spins it hard enough

How do you store your child's books?
I have a square bookcase from the pottery barn kids outlet. It has four square cubbies so I have two filled with regular books and wicker baskets in the other two with board books. I like being able to grab the bin and bring it wherever and just toss all the books back in. I usually keep one bin on the floor so DD can grab the books out and play with them or we can sit by it and read since at this age if we read it tends to be 10-15 quick board books at a time.

Re: How do you store your child's books?
I used two large canvass storage bins, turned them on their side and put them on a shelf in DS's closet. The books slide right in.

Re: How do you store your child's books?
It's very sturdy and mostly full of books so you can't spin it around fast I also got it from amazon.com I think it was cheaper

Re: How do you store your child's books?
We have the Hensvik from Ikea. It has four shelves, and the bottom two are large enough to fit storage bins. I like how it's wider on the bottom so it can't tip over. Right now I have DDs stuffed animals on the tops, pictures and knick knacks displayed on the top two shelves, books on one of the larger bottom shelves and a storage bin for toys on the other bottom shelf. We paid the original price for it, which i thought was a good deal, but now I see it's been discounted to an even better price. Hensvik

It neatly holds all diff sizes and it does hold a lot. I'd say between the shelves and basket we've got maybe 50+ books in there.

Re: How do you store your child's books?
I got a cubby peice of furniture from Pottery barn to hold the books. She has so many books so for me that One Step ahead shelf would be a waste.

Re: How do you store your child's books?
We have two bookshelves. A 3 shelf wood shelf that matches the rest of the furniture in his room and the cloth/wood shelf that holds the books facing forward...
