Flu Vaccine when DC has a cold?
Both my kids have an appointment for a shot but I am thinking I should postpone it until their colds are better & they are stronger. WTYD?

Depends on the cold- DD had a stuffy nose and they still gave her the shot. They said as long as there is no fever it's fine.

That's kind of why I'm asking. My Ped tried to give it to us last week in the middle of ds 6 day old fever so I'll just postpone it because the fever is gone but now he has a cold.

My ped. won't do the flu shot if they are sick. Cold, fever, whatever.

Dd2 had her second dose on Friday and she had a cold. As long as there's no fever they'll give it.

No fever. DD had a slight cough when she got her's, ped said it was fine.

I took DD to the pediatrician tonight for a flu shot but she has a fever, so no shot. Dr did say they give if it's just a cold.
