I agree with other posters, I would invite her along to kids things even though she doesn't have kids.

Is there a reason she couldn't come when you guys go out with your family?

Honestly, I can kinda understand why she's upset. What if you tried to include her a bit more, or if you offered to do some "fun" things with her and the baby?

I wish any of my dds aunts/uncles wanted to spend that much time with her-some of them go weeks/months never even asking about her.

i was with my side of the fam and we were taking pictures with the 3 grandkids and my parents. If we invited my MIL and FIL, then she and her sister would have definitely been invited. However, my two other siblings did not invite their in laws and I don't think that would have been fair for us to do.

I can understand not having her at that particular event, but maybe you should make some time or effort to do some activities with her and your DC as well.

Maybe if she had some face time with her/you guys it would be easier for her to cope. Maybe pizza fridays or something could be do-able?

Re: intrusive SIL- how to cope???

You know what, the stalking your house and FB is a huge red flag for mental instability and I'm sorry, that would turn me off big time to wanting to spend time with her or wanting her around my child.
I mean how old is she? Grow up.
It's one thing to feel left out and want to spend more time with her niece but there is a way to go about it in a mature, adult manner.

I don't like feeling stalked, I don't like feeling forced into doing things I don't want to do, and I don't like to be told how to spend my time.

I would be so turned off an pissed off that I would probably not want to spend any time with her at all to be honest.

But I'm a b1tch so.....
