Daycare meals

Apparently my DD isn't eating what I send to daycare- in addition to her bottles I send yogurt, applesauce, fruit and then leftovers from the night before if she's going to be there for 8+ hours. FTR, she eats all of these things at home without a problem. I generally do not send a full meal for lunch and feel that fruit and yogurt is an acceptable lunch in addition to her bottles and the snacks that we keep there. She gets a full meal at breakfast and dinner- usually eggs/waffles/pancakes/bagel with fruit for breakfast and whatever we're having for dinner. Under one, just for fun, no?

Am I completely off base with this? I'm told that the other kids bring in multiple jars of food every day. Does a 10 month old really need multiple jars of baby food in addition to breakfast and dinner and bottles? Again, she's getting fruit and yogurt, plus snacks (puffs, yogis, rice cakes) during the day.

It's probably worth mentioning that she's the chubbiest kid in the class.

I would send jars in (if you use them, or pouches or whatever) for some variety, or as a back up plan, maybe the yogurt is boring her?

And Idt it matters that she is the chubbiest one in the class, lol

Daycare meals

Maybe shes not eating bc shes full, not in need of more food? Sounds like plenty of food to me.

Thanks girls. I wanted to make sure I wasn't under feeding her and that this was a typical amount of food for a baby her age.

No such thing as a typical amount of food. Babies eat when they're hungry. I'd just send more food to day care than you think she'll want, and then let them offer whatever. If she takes it great, if not, it's there for next time.
