Christmas photos

Where do you take your little ones to have their Christmas photos taken? Do you have a photographer come to the house? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Not looking to spend a fortune, just want some nice pictures. Thanks.

Re: Christmas photos

I know a few photographers have advertised for mini sessions and they seem pretty reasonable. Check out Marie Christine Photography!

Re: Christmas photos

I always have DS's Christmas pics taken at Target. I know its not the same as a photographer but I bring some props and the pics always come out great. With the Groupon it's sooo cheap. I always joke that it's practically free:

Target Portrait Groupon

If you use the code AUTUMN20 you get another 20% off so the Groupon is like $23. You get a few digital images and a print. I use the digital images to order my cards from Tiny Prints or Shutterfly.

There are a few Target Portrait Studio Packages available. I found a few that were cheaper. Just do a search within Groupon for Target Portrait Studio.

JC Penney Groupon - I had DD's 1st birthday pictures taken there and they came out great. I think the Groupon was $23 and it includes one print sheet of your choice and 3 high resolution digital images e-mailed to you with print release. I use those images to make our Christmas cards. Also bought a Groupon for Photo Affections. I used them last year and the cards came out gorgeous. I think it was $25 for 100 photo cards. Highly recommend them!

I buy this package cause it gives me the 3 digital images. The others have more prints or cards but I'd rather have the digital images so I'll always have them.

ETA: I also use the digital images to order mugs and other photo gifts. They used to give you the whole session on a disk for the same price. I wish they still did that. Now it's like $70 or something to buy the digital images of the whole session.

I always end up buying the digital images of the entire session so I bought the $14 canvas print package which will give me 40% off of the high res CD.

I always do the target groupon as well. It's well worth it and it is "practically free" lol

We always do JCP with a groupon but this year I'm doing a photographer even though it's pricy because my mil chips in.
