Just know this is normal for MANY kids and you aren't alone. My 13 month nurses to sleep every night, sleeps in her crib for 3 or so hours then wakes up and co sleeps with for the rest of the night, waking several more times to nurse. I just think it is best to keep reminding yourself that this will end and she will sleep when she is ready. Right now, she needs mommy. That's what has helped me accept it and become much less stressed. Btw, there is nothing to be embarassed about regarding co sleeping. It was the ONLY thing that allowed me to get some sleep( and there are myriad psychological benefits). You do whatever you have to do and what makes you comfortable as a mom.

Oh, I also wanted to add, it is really likely that she might be in pain from teething . My DD just went through an awful teething period where she was in SO much pain. It was awful.

I've been there. I kept thinking my son was teething when he was waking through the night, giving him Tylenol or teething tablets... until I realized he wasn't, since he didn't get his first tooth until 8 months.
We went through a period of him STTN on and off, so I didn't think he needed sleep training. On the nights where he would wake up, I would try Tylenol, a bottle... he would take a few sips and clearly not be hungry. He didn't want the pacifier. He was showing signs of frustration. He didn't want to be rocked back to sleep. He would arch his back trying to get out of my arms. Finally I realized that he needed to do this on his own if I couldn't help.
One night I finally let him CIO for a middle of the night waking, and he was back asleep in 15 minutes. I did this for a few nights until all of a sudden he just STTN every.single.night, putting himself back to sleep on his own. Some nights I see him on the monitor sit up in his crib, and quietly just lay back down.
Yes, hearing your baby cry is not fun. However I truly believe this is what he needed to be able to get a restful nights sleep. He wakes up happy and well rested after sleeping 11-12 hours a night. Nothing I did for him would console him or get him back to sleep because he was so overtired. Personally I feel we made the best decision for him.
