8 month old fighting naps?
Ugh, my second DD is soooo different from my first! DD1 was a dream baby and rarely fought anything until she became a threenager Anyway, with that being said....DD2 is an ok napper. If we are home, she will take two naps each about an hour and a half. If we are out, she rarely naps even being pushed in the stroller. We just went away to PA for July 4th. She slept amazing while we were there. The day after we came home, I tried to put her down at her usual nap time and she cried bloody murder for 20 minutes straight, but then fell asleep for the usual amount of time. 2nd nap that day, same thing. Night time did not seem to be an issue. The next day same thing, but even bed time was an issue. It's been an issue putting her to sleep everyday since we've been home which was last Tuesday. She screams and cries until she falls asleep which could be almost a half hour sometimes. She will sleep anywhere from 40 minutes to her usual hour and a half. She is still sleeping through the night with no issues, but the past two days she's been awake an hour earlier than usual. I thought teething and have tried Motrin, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Is this separation anxiety? I just feel bad for her.

I think STTN and two 1.5-hour naps sounds amazing. The crying at the beginning of going to sleep could either be the recent travel/change or an increased awareness of surroundings. Either way, it sounds very normal.
Neither of my kids every gave me 2 long naps a day.

Not sure, but my 2 year old has pretty much cried at nap time his entire life. Anywhere from 1 min-15 minutes. Two 40-90 minute naps a day was what my DS was doing at that age. My DS very rarely cries at bedtime.
