Communion gift amount
My daughter (8 years old) is going to her friends communion party. It's a drop off/pickup at a hall. So it's just her going...since I'm jewish and this is my first experience with this I could some advise on a gift amount. I was thinking $50 since it's just her going or am I way off lol. Thx!

I think $50 is a very nice gift. I think you could even do $25, but $50 is really nice

Agreed. $50 is a very nice, generous gift, but anything in the $25-50 range would be perfectly acceptable.

I'm Jewish and for a close friend of mine I gave her $100.
$25 to $50 from your child is MORE than enough.

I think $50 is more than enough. that is my standard amount even if a whole family is invited. though many people on this board seem to give amounts that they give to weddings  IMO its ridiculous.
my standard for a wedding I attend is $75 to $100 a person.
I am not at all for covering the cost of a party that's not my job to its the hosts job to pay for it!

I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago.. Some of the answers I got were OUTRAGEOUS. We ended up giving $50 after some unexpected expenses came about the day before...
