What do you use? Not a fan of the microwave. Would need something that does the job quickly.

Eta: for leftover baby food jars that have been in the fridge. Looking to bring it back up to room temp at least, or warmer. We use a bottle warmer for bottles.

It doesn't need to be hot.

And we never wanted to get DS used to warm anything - formula, food because it made it easier on the go.

We never warmed food up. But we presently do "take the chill out" of dd2's rtf formula if it's in the fridge. I just put the bottle in an oversized mug and run hot water over it for a few seconds and let it sit for a few seconds more.

Thanks! Yes, I meant warming up leftover jarred baby food that's been in the fridge.

I never did this either. He just ate cold purees. I would be too concerned about the food being too hot. My DS is almost 2 now and I heat things in the microwave for like 15-20 seconds at most. I even portion out his food way before everyone else eats so it is lukewarm when he gets it.

Bottle warmer does it. I leave unused baby food in Earth's best glass jars. From there, you can heat up some water on the stove & put jar in it (water has to be shallow), or better yet, put half filled jar in bottle warmer & select 2-3 ounces setting.
Our bottle warmer is for glass bottles.

we would just fill up a container with hot water (from the sink) and put the jar in there for 2-3 minutes
it was never really hot, it just took the chill out

I never warmed baby food, even if it was in the refrigerator. Would you warm up applesauce? Same thing IMO.

We never did it then either. if DS felt it was too cold (which I don't think he ever did ) we just let it sit out for a minute or so.

Chat Icon This is what we did.

DS wouldn't take anything that was too cold and I don't use the microwave. Just letting it sit in a bowl of hot water from the tap always worked pretty quickly.

Little 4oz Pyrex bowl in the microwave for a few seconds at a time. I wouldn't like cold food.
When my siblings and I were little, they had a 3 section dish that plugged in to heat up the food... Seems so much better than nuking everything...

Me either.

It's easier to not heat it up, then you can feed them on the go no matter where you are.
