Fighting Diaper Changes and Getting Dressed
My DD is 22 months. She has become a complete lunatic when needing to change her diaper or get her dressed and I can't take it anymore. She could be covered in poop and when I try to change her diaper she is screaming, and thrashing, that I feel like I am going to break her leg just trying to get a diaper on. I tried negotiating with her, talking to her, bribing her to just sit still for 1 minute and nothing is working. Do I just let her sit in her own sh*t at this point? I was almost late to work this week now bc it took me 40 minutes to get her dressed and I hadn't even gotten clothes on myself. I am literally in tears over this, I feel like a horrible mother. I am 7 months pregnant and bending over is difficult as it is, and a simple diaper change is turning into a nightmare every single time. Any words of wisdom?

Can you try pull ups? This way she could stand and just step into them.

That is not a bad idea at all. Do they hold in pee and poop like a regular diaper?

Fighting Diaper Changes and Getting Dressed
My 22 month old DD had been doing it for months. She's finally getting better but I still sometimes have to bribe her with the nick Jr. app on my old phone. She's obsessed with bubble guppies and she will gladly watch it. I have started telling her "we are going to change your diaper now, you don't want to get a boo boo on your hiney" and that seems to help a tiny bit as well. I'm 36 weeks now, and I understand completely!

I only used them a week while training and dd kept the dry so I don't have personal experience. I have friends who use them as diapers.
They have specific ones for nighttime that hold more.

Yes. Pull ups are diapers just different fasteners. I would get the pullups that open along the sides.

Huggies also makes. Slip-on diaper. Pull up concept but it's still a diaper. We used these for DS

DS is the same...and has been for months! Diaper changes are full of bribery...sometimes its his pacifier (which he normally only gets at bed), sometimes its my phone...whatever it takes. I also try to distract him and tickle him, play peekaboo, etc. are you still changing her on the changing table? i find that actually helps me to still change him and dress him on the changing table instead of the floor.

Change on a changing table or a higher service - it is harder for them to move around. Its a phase

Fighting Diaper Changes and Getting Dressed
Thanks Girls. This morning was a little better. I refused to put MInnie Mouse on until she let me change and dress her and then she only did it standing up but that was fine with me. As long as there wasn't screaming and a 25 minute process it was much better then before. I appreciate all the ideas!! Def going to get the pull ups this weekend.

Re: Fighting Diaper Changes and Getting Dressed
My kids are older now (4 & 6) but at that age as well they knew there was not a chance in hell of them getting their hands on the iPad, TV, toys ANYTHING until they were dressed and ready to go in the morning.
I also found it easy to get them dressed when they were still groggy and 1/2 asleep - it's like a sneak attack

This! My twins are 22 months and are starting to fight me on this too. the slip on ones are easier. they are more expensive, so i still use regular diapers, but have a lot of these because I stocked up on them when they were $2.00 a pack on clearance at CVS over 2 years ago! LOL I have like 20 bags in my closet! lol. They have changed the packaging since then.
Get these over the pull-ups. they are much more absorbent than pull-ups. in fact, i even used them for my other son when 3 and 4 years old at night-time (was trained during the day) because he would leak through pull-ups at night).
