Mom groups in Nassau
Are there any groups in Nassau for moms of young children? I've looked on meetup.com but I don't see anything except stroller strides.

Where are you located?
Did you try Facebook?
You could always start your own. That's what did.

Start one! Or just post on here where you're from.
I found a mom with a baby born 2 weeks after my DS. 3 years later we're very good friends! Just reach out, you never know what will happen!

Facebook is better than meetup. Meetup is filled with flakes who join groups just for the sake of joining lol.
A lot of towns have a local moms group.

Yes and no. I have a group, but there's a small annual membership fee solely for this purpose. I have about 75 active members, BUT I have another 130 that have joined and flaked that didn't pay the fee so they're no longer in the group. I do agree with people joining just to join so the fee encourages people to engage bc they're "invested"
I didn't want a group of 200 and 75% of those people never showing up to anything or even being involved.

On meetup, ANewDayHasCome's group but its western suffolk. I've also seen LI Moms of Babies and Toddlers on meetup, and it looks like its based in Nassau.

There is also a MOPS group in New Hyde Park. Maybe other churches have it too.

Re: Mom groups in Nassau
How about library programs? My library has programs that meet weekly for at least 6 weeks so it's nice seeing the same little ones and moms, plus they also can live close to u. U can also check out other libraries that accept ppl that reside in other areas.
Meet up is good too, I belong to one and have met great ppl! Some are full of drama so stay away from those lol!
I'm not really a fan of the ones that charge to become a member, I don't believe paying a fee works as an incentive, for me at least, just like the gym I signed up for, I paid for it thinking that since I'm paying, that would force me to go...ummm no! Bad decision and I'm still paying it lol!!!
Oh and no matter what size the group is, there will always be ppl that are not active. I've seen it happen in meetup and also in other groups. U will never find a group in which all their members are active, it's normal, it's expected.

Mom groups in Nassau
I joined a meetup group and have met lots of great girls, some that I am sure will be lifelong friends.
I also belong to Gymboree with my DS but have not really become friendly with anyone.
I personally did not have any luck with Facebook groups in my area. I don't feel as though they had that much traffic and I live in a big town and they had a lot of members. Not many were active.
Meetup has been the best place for me so far.
