Peanut Butter?
With my first I was told to wait till 2 (no family history of allergy)
With my 2nd the recommendation changes to earlier. (And it was recommended that I eat a lot of PB during pregnancy as well). I think pedi told us 10 months but asked us to wait till 15. We just tried it at 16 months and all seems okay.

Re: Peanut Butter?
After a year I think he first tried it, ,maybe 14 or 15 months. No allergy, but recently he had a terrible reaction to cashews, so now I'm nervous to try any nuts with my younger son.

Re: Peanut Butter?
With DS we tried a few times around 1 year old but he was never interested. At 18 months, he put a pb cracker in his mouth and spit it out. A few minutes later I noticed hives around his mouth. We dosed him with Benedryl and had him tested for a peanut allergy. He tested positive for 5 nut allergies. There are no peanut allergies, so we didn't think it was even a possibility.
DD is 9 months old, and we just did a blood test on her Saturday to test for nut allergies. She will not eat any until we know for sure.

Re: Peanut Butter?
When I had DS1 4 years ago, the "rule" was 2 but I gave it to him at 14 months. Now the "rule" at my doc's office is 6 months. I haven't given it to DS2 yet, but yesterday I gave him a taste of the vanilla ice cream that was part of peanut butter cup ice cream and he didn't react to it.

1 year - we have no allergies in the family but somehow DS is very allergic. I highly recommend that when you do give it to your child that you do it in the parking lot of an urgent care.
When I was pregnant, they recommended that we don't eat nuts so I didn't. But a friend heard the opposite and she ate a lot of nuts and her child is allergic. There are recommendations now of giving peanuts earlier bc they think going a long time without as a baby is what is causing allergies, but I don't think I agree with it. It all seems pretty random.
We did pretty early introduction (around a year) and I ate peanuts when pregnant, and DS is allergic. He ate peanut products dozens of times for almost a year before he had a reaction. It was a shocker. In our case I think it is genetics. Three of six cousins have a peanut allergy

Re: Peanut Butter?
Sometime between 10-12 months.
Neither had allergies. We just watched them very closely the first few times we gave peanuts or any kind of nut product.
