When did you give cottage cheese or other cheese to your baby?
My granddaughter is almost 11 mos. old. She has been eating yogurt for about a week and my daughter was wondering when she could give her cheese like American, Colby,etc. the ped. Said not to switch to milk till she's one so we're wondering if cheese is ok before milk?

Yes definitely. By that age my ped would say anything but a cup of milk, honey, or choking hazards.

I've been giving cheese since 7-8 months. I don't think whole milk non soft cheese is any different than yogurt. I think they mean no milk as a replacement for formula before 12 months. But we don't give milk at all yet.

6 months - my kids had yogurt, all kinds of cheeses, and soft foods.
ETA - My DD switched to milk at 12 months, my DS at 10 months.

Totally fun! My DS loves cheese! I think I first gave him cheese at around 8 months.
