Re: Air travel id
For now no but I think it starts Feb or April that a NYS driver license is no longer valid for even state to state travel. So effing annoying
The new rules will go into effect sometime in 2016 (the exact date has not been announced), and there will be a three-month forgiveness period, during which people with these licenses will be warned that their IDs are no longer valid for flights.

I read an article earlier this week that it is October.
That being said, I went and got an enhanced drivers license a few weeks ago. I don't trust the TSA agents at all airports to remember that it's OK for NYers to go thru but another state doesn't. I'm sure NY airports will be fine because they will know, but when I'm going to Texas in January I'm not counting on bumblefluck TSA agent knowing the differences from state to state and don't feel like fighting with them.
So I will use my enhanced ID and for my husband that did not have a chance to get his ID will bring his passport just in case.
