Southwest Prices
Do they go up in the same day? I looked up the airfare this morning and the same exact flights just went up $20.

Definitely.
With all the mergers and the nickel and diming the airlines have done I find good airfares to be so hard to find and to disappear quickly when they do show up.

Southwest is one of the most expensive airlines out there.
It's insane the difference between them and other airlines when I was looking to book.
Like literally more than double.

Depends on the day and the destination.
They are very expensive to fly to FL. Not so bad other places. But you have to factor in other things. The ease of getting in and out of Islip and bags

Yes, Islip is so much easier as you have to get to LGA or JFK and pay for parking either by your own car or shuttle so you are not saving anything.
Other airlines also charge for bags so that adds up.

Southwest Prices
Just booked a southwest trip to Aruba for next summer. All airline prices were insane... $650+. Islip is just so easy that I opted for the connecting flights over direct out of jfk. I can't be bothered with the hassle of that traveling, parking, shuttle, craziness of Jfk in general. After I booked, southwest raised the price $100 for same flight and now it is up even more than that!!! So for $20 increase, I'd jump on that bc it can totally skyrocket in a matter of minutes.
