Florida trip and stroller

So, we're heading to Disney, Universal and Legoland with a 2 YO and a 6 YO (SO EXCITED!!)

Wondering about strollers. I was planning to rent one for the little guy - the older one doesn't sit in them anymore though he's well under the weight limit (and a few months ago at a fair he decided he HAD to sit - he was "SO TIRED" but I think that was him just being annoying.)

So, I was questioning single or double stroller. Pluses to double that both can sit at once and more space to carry stuff.
Minuses of course more expensive and more cumbersome. Plus, I can see them sitting together and the older one constantly touching the baby and the baby screaming and hitting back!! Chat Icon
Then I saw this one on Amazon Kolcraft Cloud Lightweight
External Image
for $50 - which would save us about $25-40. We could have it sent it to my aunt in FL who is meeting us for the trip she could bring it. Then we could "donate it" to the resort or maybe try and lug it back if we wanted.

We'll be doing one park each day - yes, I know it's probably a lot but hoping it won't be too bad since we're going at supposedly one of the "least crowded" times of year.
Our last day there we will relax at the pool hopefully and have a dinner show that night.
Any advice one way or the other? TIA

Ohhh...sorry that was so long!Chat Icon

IMO I would rent a double stroller. I have yet to hear someone tell me their child did not want to go in it while at Disney - regardless of age.

The days are long and there is a lot walking and waiting. I would rent a double stroller. If your oldest complains enough, you will end up having to rent one of their (Disney's) own anyway...save yourself the hassle

Thank you!Chat Icon
I took a look at the stroller at Walmart - while it seemed nice - very light!! - I don't think it goes down far enough to nap comfortably. Though I don't know why I think naps will actually happen.Chat Icon

I think we will go with the double. I guess it is worth it just to not deal with the possible whining!

i would definitely go with a double! its a lot of walking, waiting, etc--- your oldest will definitely want a break Chat Icon my DS is almost 5 and we just went-- he fell asleep in our city mini almost every afternoon!
you could look into renting a double city mini from one of the companies near disney.... i've heard good things about apple stroller. something like $5-$10 a day to rent?? they will have it waiting for you at your resort.

I would go with a double. This was the first year I only rented a single and it wound up being a big mistake. And my DS is 8!

Re: Florida trip and stroller

I highly recommend a double stroller. My boys are 4 and 6 and 6yo never rides a stroller unless we go to Disney.

Our friends recently went with a 3yo, 6yo and 8yo. They got a double for the 3yo and 6yo and then later rented a second stroller for the 8yo!
