stroller for trip to Europe?
We're going to Europe with our 13 month old. I've decided that our uppa vista is too big and the crappy $15 umbrella stroller is not the best because it doesn't recline and doesn't have a basket.
Any suggestions for a lightweight stroller that reclines and has a basket?
Thanks!!!

The Uppababy G-luxe (and G-lite which is cheaper but doesn't recline) and the Maclaren Quest (and the Triumph which is cheaper but still reclines) are popular lightweight but full-featured strollers. I love the huge sun shade on the Uppababy ones.

We bought the uppababy gluxe for traveling, etc. It reclines and has a huge sun canopy. Our full stroller is too heavy to travel with if flying as much as I love it (and the huge basket).

I have a Maclaren and I love how light it is. I know the Triumph and Quest recline... I have one that doesn't recline and wish I did!

Uppa baby gluxe. We have the glite b/c our kids don't really sleep in the stroller but I would get the gluxe. It's super light folds very slim and has a shoulder strap. Super easy to maneuver.

thanks. I'm going to buybuybaby today and i'll get the g-luxe or maclaren.
Any other tips for travelling to Europe with a 13 month old who is very active and a handful? Also I'm 5 months pregnant and my husband just threw his back out, so I am just expecting this to be the plane ride from hell!!!

We are going to Europe in July and my DD will be 13 month too and it will be her and me alone! I'm so nervous about this trip. And I'm planning to take my Graco sroller (click connect system) it's heavy, but I don't have a choice. My DD hates to sit forward in a stroller, she wants to see me all the time...

Bring lots of activities to keep your LO busy. Think stickers, crayons, snacks. DS played with those headset things they gave out for hours. Whatever kept him quiet!! Lol Also, depending on where you're going, there will be tons of kids on the flight. When DS was acting up it was comforting to know a few rows back there was another screaming kid! If you can afford it, pay for a seat. My son is super active, and there was no way he would stay on my lap. We sucked it up and bought him a seat. We put a car seat on the seat and strapped him in. It was a life saver. But you know your child best. FM if you have any more Q.

We fly to Europe all the time and if you didn't buy your DC a seat, call the airlines and ask them if you can have the seats with a bassinet! It looks like a small pack and play, most of the airplanes have 4-8 of them! It's the best thing ever and you can always catch a break when DC plays/sleeps in it. And ask if you can board ahead of time. We usually skip the line and board 10 minutes before everyone else.
